A Casa da Moita

Located in Fajão, in the municipality of Pampilhosa da Serra, in the district of Coimbra, it was designed and built with the horizon providing all its users, days of rest in total contact with nature in a pure and serrano rural environment

This beautiful little village, which is romantically situated on the Serra do Açor and River Ceira offers visitors a unique view.  

We offer all our guests a local accommodation that allows them to enjoy in exclusive, a house inserted in a unique environment located in one of the shale villages considered the most beautiful in the central region of Portugal and with a peculiar history.

The restoration of the former "Barracão da Moita" has been able to make a major contribution to maintaining the original typical character of the village. The "Casa da Moita" offers all those who need to unload the stress for the city life as well as families with children or simply nature lovers the opportunity to find a cozy and quiet corner in the heart of nature. Once here, you have the opportunity to enjoy wonderful walks and hiking, to swim in the river beach, to inhale the clean mountain air and especially to enjoy the impressive landscape! 

The Casa da Moita has a large living room area that is full of light, with a wall that has been carved into the rock and an open fireplace. It has a double bed and two single beds (sofa bed), which are in the first floor. The kitchen, WC and bathroom which are situated on the ground floor of the house. 

A wooden staircase leads to the room. The kitchen is equipped with electric cooker, fridge and dishwasher. The floors are covered with traditional terracotta.
